Quote My Shizzle turns Discord messages into funny, random, shareable artefacts: posters, headlines, wanted notices, magazine covers, and other chaotic creations.

A YAML-template engine drives 10+ layouts with weighted-random selection, reactions are tracked, duplicates are suppressed via PostgreSQL-backed dedup, and servers get a daily digest of their best quotes.

How it's built

Quote My Shizzle is a Python application with a YAML-template engine and PostgreSQL-backed dedup, running on opi5-cluster and deployed via ArgoCD.

Get started

Quote My Shizzle is invite-only. Join the Discord and ask for an invite to your server.

How to use

Quote My Shizzle runs on your server once you've run /configure to set the listening channel. All other commands react to messages in that channel.

/configure Admin only

Set the channel where Quote My Shizzle should listen for quote requests.

  • channel required The text channel to monitor for quote triggers
/quote

Generate a quote artefact from a message.

  • text Custom text to quote (optional, defaults to a recent message in the channel)
/quote-stats

View your quote statistics or another user's.

/digest-now Admin only

Post the monthly quote digest (last month) to the configured channel now.
